Arturo Rodriguez, 73, passed away peacefully on February 5th, 2022. On February 11, 1948, he was born in El Paso, Texas, to Juan and Dora Rodriguez, where they lived until moving to Montana, Idaho, and Utah. Arturo met his first wife, Diana Velasquez, with whom he shared his first three children, Arthur (Julie) Rodriguez, Sandra Wilson, and Amy (Brian) Ashley. Arturo met his second wife, Lucy Lucero, while still young and reconnected in 1977 and married in May of 1980. Arturo and Lucy shared three children, Teri (Jose) Partida, Tracy (Anthony) Martin, Rudy Jr. Flores, Nathaniel Rodriguez. He is survived by his sister Eva (Juan) Velasquez, his wife Lucy Rodriguez, and his children.
Arturo had a successful career as an autobody repairman in a trade that he valued his entire life. His career provided the support for his children to graduate high school and grow up as responsible adults and parents. Arturo enjoyed the outdoors and camped with his family in the mountains surrounding Ogden. Arturo had lifelong friends that valued his humor, kindness, and companionship. He also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, his sister Berth Valdez and grandchildren, Brooklyn Wilson, Zane Cooper, Carlos Mercado, Felina Espinoza, and Mark Martin.
We want to thank all of the kidney specialist who helped him and first responders that responded to attempt to revive him.
