Arthur William “Bill” Vilain, 74, of Route 1 Box, Mt. Clare, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at his residence following a brief illness. He was born December 12, 1938 the son of the late Arthur Vilain and Helen Ashland Vilain. He is survived by his wife Monica Mathews Vilain of 32 years. In addition he is survived by one son; Rodney Vilain and wife Terri of Fairmont; two grandchildren; Ryan and Kaitlyn both of Fairmont; numerous other relative and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one sister; Charlene Vilain. Bill was a Machine Operator with Union Carbide; he was a member of the VFW and American Legion. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren Ryan and Kaitlyn who were two of the loves of his life. He also loved to watch his grandson Ryan play baseball and loved to fish in his spare time.
