Arthur W. Fagner
Newark – Arthur William Fagner, 89 formerly of Welcher Road went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, June 3, 2002 at the Wayne County Nursing Home with his loving family by his side.
Family and friends may call Thursday (June 6) from 2-4 and 7-9 at the Norman L.
Mr. Fagner was born the son of James and Mary Oldacre Fagner on July 3, 1912 in Phelps, New York. He retired from Garlock Corp. where he worked as an machinist. Mr. Fagner was a member of the Arcadia Reformed Church, Newark Masonic Lodge # 83, F.&A.M. and the Masonic Lodge Bowling Team for many years. He had volunteered for Meals on Wheels since 1982.
Mr. Fagner is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Cornelia “Kay” VanKouwenberg Fagner; daughter Marjorie Bixby of Lyons; sons James (Arlene) and Ronald (Micki) Fagner both of Newark; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one great great-grandson; sister Lena VanKoevering of Newark; many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Fagner was predeceased by his brothers George, Herman, Frank, Walter, Lester, Jim and Harold; sisters Lulu, Ruth and Susie.
