Arthur Rudolph Neils, 86, of Plainville passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family on Saturday October 1, 2011. He is now reunited with his wife Ruth (Zettergren) Neils with whom he had shared 57 years of marriage. Born in New Britain on October 21, 1924, he was the son of the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Dorn) Neils.
Arthur served his country in the U.S. Army Infantry during World War II and was a POW.
He leaves behind his daughter Holley Ostrander and her husband Art of Plainville; a son David Neils of Plainville; his grandson Jeremy Carlson and his wife Christina of Bristol; his granddaughter Autumn Carlson of Plainville; his brother George Neils and his sister Carrie Rydingsward; along with several nieces and nephews.
