Arthur Lucine Gray, age 68, of Hillsboro, went to be with his parents on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.
Born July 20, 1949, in Hillsboro, he was a son of the late Calvin Hanley Gray and Ada Josephine Phillips Gray. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Marion Gray, and brother-in-law, Roger Shrout, Sr.
He is survived by two sisters, Bessie Shrout of Marion, Indiana, and Patty Hester and husband William of Wallingford; one brother, Boyd Gray and wife Debbie of Hillsboro; four nieces; five nephews; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Arthur served his country the U. S. Army during the Vietnam Era as a demolition expert in the 84th Engineer Company as a SP5. He was stationed in Fort Dix, New Jersey, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and Hamburg, Germany.
