Mr. Arthur Hofer, age 97, of North Branford, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009 in Evergreen Woods Health Care Center, North Branford. Son of the late Arthur and Katherine Schnell Hofer, he was born on June 5, 1911 in St. Gall, Switzerland. He lived at Evergreen Woods for 12 years. Arthur’s name is listed on the wall at Ellis Island. Survivors include a devoted daughter, Geraldine O’Meara and her husband Chris of Milford, two cherished granddaughters, Christine Pannone and her husband Bob of Stratford, and Jen O’Flaherty and her husband Yoel Chetrit of Astoria, NY. He also leaves three cherished great granddaughters, Alexandra d’Arcy, Andrea Pannone, and Vyva Chetrit.
