Arthur F. Marston Jr., passed away Friday, May 15th, 2009, at the Veteran’s Homestead in Fitchburg, after a battle with cancer. Arthur was born in Dorchester, MA, July 29, 1946 to Elizabeth (Treen) Marston of Springfield, MA, and the late Arthur F. Marston Sr., raised in Cummaquid, MA. He attended Barnstable High School and Mass School of Art in Boston. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran from 1970 to 1975. A longtime truck driver for several area firms until his illness this year. Besides his mother, he is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Lee Marston of Fitchburg; sons, Daniel and wife, Laura of Woburn, MA, Shaun of Fitchburg, Kenneth of Wakefield, MA; daughter, Marcelle of Hyannis, MA; three grandchildren, Liam, Clara Rose, and Makeighla; sisters, Anne Marie and husband, Bernard Demeo of Springfield, Jane Marston-Whalley of Hartford, CT; brother, David of Southbridge, and the late Bruce of Cummaquid; several nieces and nephews and extended family. Also his beloved cat, Maddie.
