Arthur Eugene Hutchens passed away peacefully on November 3, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family.

Arthur was born on February 19, 1929 in Salt Lake City, Utah the son of Arthur Burch and Marie Pulver Hutchens.

He served in The Great Lakes Mission. Arthur also served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Arthur married and was sealed to his sweetheart Helen Maxine Alkema on June 7, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple, they had five children. Helen passed away on June 17, 1990.

Arthur was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He later married Dixie Burrows on March 1, 1991 for time in the St. George Temple. They served a mission together in the Hong Kong Mission and worked in the Ogden Temple.

Arthur worked and retired as an Engineer Inspector for Sperry/UNIVAC.

Arthur enjoyed model building. He was passionate about all things involving trains. He like to travel, he enjoyed spending time at his home in St. George and taking a drive and exploring new dirt roads. He was a talented woodworker. Arthur just liked to stay busy and enjoy life. Above all else Arthur loved his family.

Arthur is survived by his wife Dixie, his children: David A. Hutchens, Janice (John) Dowler, Chris (Dan) Anderson, and Joann (Robert) Seager, stepchildren: Russ Burrows, Michael (Debbie) Burrows, Becky (Perry) Koger, Richard (Janice) Burrows, Clint Burrows, and Robert (Natalie) Burrows, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his sweetheart Helen, his parents, son Steven Hutchens and stepson Todd Burrows.
