Arthur C. Sandstrom, 86 widower of Rose (O’Brien) Sandstrom, of Bristol died on Wednesday January 31, 2007 at Hartford Hospital.
Mr. Sandstrom was born on June 29, 1920 in Bristol CT and was the son of the late Arthur L. and Anna (Nelson) Sandstrom.
He was educated in Bristol schools and also Hilyer College and Wittenberg University. Arthur was a US Navy Veteran of World War II having served in the Pacific Theater.
He was employed for 25 years with Associated Spring, Wallace Barnes Div. and Gibson Div. in Mattoon, IL as a foreman.
He was also employed as Plant Manager of Lee Spring of Bristol and Bristol Spring of Plainville.
He is survived by his three children and a son-in-law; Linda DellaVecchia of Bristol, Susan and Peter LaVecchia of New Jersey and Brien Sandstrom of Old Saybrook; his five grandchildren Eric and Nicole DellaVecchia of Bristol, Michelle, Peter and Kristina LaVecchia of New Jersey and one great granddaughter, Haven DellaVecchia of Bristol; and a dear friend Grace Anderson of Thomaston.
