Arthur “Butch” W. Rose, 89 of Silver Ridge Park Westerly section of Berkeley Township, NJ passed away on Tuesday September 13, 2016 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Butch was born in Belleville, NJ he lived in Kearny, NJ before moving to Silver Ridge Park Westerly 23 years ago. He proudly served in the Air Force during WWII and was a member of the VFW Post #8352. He was an Assembler with Otis Elevator in Harrison, NJ for many years. He loved spending time with all his family, traveling to visit them since they were across the country as well as his Facebook visits with his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his beloved Gert at Atlantic City.
Preceded in death by his Parents Edward and Mae (Collins) Rose and his three brothers; John, Edward, and Albert. Surviving is his loving wife Gertrude (Stade) with whom he would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on October 28th, his daughters; Cathleen Fix and her husband Jack of Fairview Park, OH, Maureen Kerr and her husband Bill of Milford, NH, and Nancy Howard and her husband Mark of St. Simons Island, GA; his seven grandchildren Kerry, Kimberly, Eric, Ellen, Patricia, Lauren and Mark; his two great grandchildren Jackson and Evan; his many nieces and nephews and two special sister in laws Helen Lee and Alice Rose.
