Arthur Allen Underwood, 67, passed away Saturday, September 18, 2021, at his Indianapolis residence. Born Thursday, May 6, 1954, in Indianapolis, Arthur was the son of the late Claude Edward and Alberta Marie (Evans) Underwood.
A veteran of the U.S. Army, Arthur was a self-employed handyman, doing all types of construction work. He enjoyed traveling, especially his trip to Alaska to go fishing.
Arthur is survived by his sons, Michael A. Underwood of Indianapolis and A.J. McCrohan (Nhiel) of Cheboygan, Michigan; his daughter, Julie Underwood of Kansas City, Kansas; brothers, Claude E. Underwood and James F. Underwood, both of Indianapolis; his sisters, Amy C. (Bernard “Butch”) Bailey of Greenwood, Debra L. (Joseph) Heigl of Camby, Patsy A. (Junior) Coglan of Indianapolis and Tina L. (Bill) Sanders of Whiteland; and four grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Arthur was preceded in death by a sister, Rose M. Greer.
