Arnulfo E. “Nufi” Murrieta, 85 of Scottsdale passed away at his home on July 15, 2011. Nufi was an Arizona native, born June 7, 1926 in Ray Arizona, the son of Antonio & Prajedes, “Kelly” Murrieta, and was raised in Mesa, AZ. Nufi served in the US Army during World War II. In 1948 he married Maria Dolores Pena. After several moves they finally settled in Scottsdale where they raised eight children. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mardie, their 8 children, 21 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, as well as 3 of his sisters and 3 of his brothers.
