Arnold “Leroy” Potts, Sr., 70, of Salem passed away Wednesday, January 08, 2014. He was born August 25, 1943; son of the late John and Mamie King Benjamin Potts. Arnold is survived by two sons, Arnold and Mary Potts of Clarksburg, Michael and Darla Potts of Big Isaac; two daughters, Christina Hawkins of Clarksburg, Shirley Jean and Drew Britton of Big Isaac; six grandchildren, Christina Jones, Michael Jones and companion Kayla Tallman of Big Isaac, Kristopher Potts and fiancé Rhonda Martinez, Brittany Potts, Arnold Potts, III and fiancé Brittany Host; Patrick Potts; eight great-grandchilren, Nathaniel Weaver, Aryonna Harlow, Kannon Britton, Lexie Host and two grandchildren on the way; two brothers, Dwayne and Paul; one sister, Judy.. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley C. Davis Potts in 2009; one grandson, Lester Llyod Potts; two brothers and one sister. He enjoyed telling jokes, fishing, camping, woodworking, making knives and spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.
