Armra L. Roy, 73, passed away Tuesday Nov. 11, 2014 in Indianapolis. He was a resident of New Whiteland.
Armra was born May 12, 1941 in Phil, Kentucky to Oris and Marie (Baxter) Roy. He married Vivian Caudill on June 24, 1961 in Liberty, Kentucky. They were married for 53 years.
He was employed at Arvins as a laborer, retiring in 2003 after 38 years of service. Armra enjoyed fishing, horseshoes, playing cards and sitting on the porch feeding his squirrels. He also enjoyed watching the Indianapolis Colts football and Indiana Pacers basketball. He loved being with his family and listening to God’s word.
Survivors include his wife, Vivian Roy of New Whiteland, his mother, Marie Roy of Greenwood, three children, Sherrie (David) Pittman of Greenwood, Kimberly Limbach of New Whiteland and Shar (Scott) Stevens, sister, Barbara (Dwayne) Grider of Greenwood, three brothers, Gene (Carol) Roy of Kentucky, Henry (Pam) Roy of Franklin and Mickey (Brenda) Roy of Greenwood, seven grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, Jordan and Amara Pittman, Zachery and Anthony Powell and Katy Hagan, and two great-grandchildren, Lilly Pittman and Noah Wilson and one on the way in Jan., Zeke Pittman.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oris Roy.
