Arlinda Johnson was born on September 6, 1942, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was the daughter of Aaron and Alberta Hurley. She completed her primary and secondary education in the local schools.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to William R.Johnson on July 1, 1960. Their union spanned over thirty-six years. Her husband preceded her in death on August 13, 1996. There union was blessed with two sons, William Jr. and Dwight.
Arlinda was an assembly worker at RCA and Western Electric. She retired from working in 2004.
Mrs. Arlinda Johnson was a former member of Mt.
Arlinda enjoyed playing bingo and cards, fishing, and listening to music. She also loved to dance and play board games.
Arlinda was a loving, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend. She will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Arlinda departed this life on Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at home, at the age of seventy-six years and ten months. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Arnetta Wells, and brother, Terry Hurley.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her sons, William R. “Ricky” Johnson, Jr. and Dwight E. Johnson; daughter-in-law, Annette Johnson; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five sisters, Arleen Alexander, Arnella Parker, Argenia Hampton, Ardella Tyler and Arabella Kilpatrick; brother, Randolph Hurley, and a host of other relatives and friends.
