Williamsport, MD – Arlene Y. (Painter) Himes, 82, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, December 12, 2022, at her home.
She was born on August 31, 1940, in Brunswick, MD to the late John Eugene and Doris Elizabeth (Shrader) Painter.
She attended Brunswick High School in Brunswick, MD.
Arlene was employed by Weis Markets until retiring in 2002.
She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God in Hagerstown, MD. She liked to sing and was in the Church Choir. Arlene and her husband were active in the Seniors Group at their church.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Charles Hilton Himes; children Terry Robinson (Hagerstown), Donna Himes (Martinsburg) and friend Ray Buffington, and Lawrence Himes (Skip) and wife Dani (Hagerstown); grandchildren Jennifer Craighead, Kelly Mills, Amber Moore, Kristin Mills, Jason Mills, Edward (Bubba) Brandenburg, Ryan Himes, Justin Himes, and Angela Jackson; great grandchildren Alexia Butler, Kahlil Butler, Madysen Barrett, Mason Smith, Morgan Smith, Makaya Smith, Tessa Kersh, LJ Jackson, Isaiah Brandenburg, Jason Mills, Jr., Lorilei McMurry, Lucas Jackson, and Zoe Brandenburg; numerous Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her in-laws Clara and Joseph Himes; stepfather Harry Longerbeam; grandparents Sadie and Ephrain Shrader; stepbrother Richard Longerbeam; stepsister Diann Longerbeam Alger; son in law John Robinson, III.
