Beloved mother of Bob and Todd Auen, mother-in-law of Jolene and Janet Auen, grandmother of Dalton, Jessica, and Nicole. Arlene was preceded in death by her husband Robert Wayne Auen, as well as 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Arlene grew up on a farm in Iowa, where she developed her “country values” and deep love of the Lord. She made airplane parts in Fenton, Michigan during WWII and moved to Alameda, CA in 1956, where she lived the rest of her life. She worked as a supervisor in Montgomery Wards for 44 years, and later served as president of Wards Retiree Group. She was also vice-president of the Rosarian Society and Catholic Daughters.
