Ardis Elaine Karst, 87
Ardis Elaine Karst, 87, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, peacefully passed away January 3, 2019. She was born, September 24, 1931 in Sisseton, South Dakota; the daughter of Arthur and Ella (Stavick) Aastrom.
Ardis attended and graduated from Sisseton High School, class of 1949.
Ardis married the greatest love of her life, Daniel Karst, on November 14, 1952 in Sisseton, South Dakota. They spent 21 wonderful years together until the time of his passing. It has been said that there was no greater love than the love Daniel and Ardis shared.
Ardis relocated to the Silver Valley with her husband in 1964, where she began working for the Bunker Hill Mining Company.
Ardis was a fun spirited person. Some of her favorite past times included playing Yahtzee, cards, and any other games she could. She enjoyed playing Bingo with her son, Terry, who became her Bingo partner and lucky charm.
Ardis is survived by her children: Dennis (Candy) Karst of Emmett, Idaho, Rick (Juanita) Karst of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, Terry (Felicia) Karst of Spokane, Wa, and Deanna Karst of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ardis was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Karst; her son, Kim Allen Karst; her great-grandson Tyler James Karst; her sister, Bernice Sebastian, and both parents, Arthur and Ella.
