Ardene Phyllis Ganschow Gray, of South Beach, Oregon passed away on April 29, 2015 at the home of her daughter Elizabeth J. Leonard and son-in-law Gene of Moscow, Idaho. She was 80. Ardene was born August 2, 1934 in Mitchell, South Dakota to George and Alberta Thielebein Ganschow. She married John Franklin Rhodes on March 17, 1952 and they were later divorced in 1973. On November 7, 1974 Ardene married Reginald E. Gray in Reno, NV. Ardene and Reginald were owners and founders of R. Gray’s Bargain Yard in South Beach, Oregon. Ardene was an oil artist and painted many beautiful paintings. She lived on the Oregon coast and enjoyed walking with her dogs on Agate Beach. She is survived by sister, Eileen Barrett, and Verna Lanting, brothers George and Donald Gaschow, and daughters Elizabeth J. Rhodes Leonard of Moscow, Idaho and Beverly Rhodes-Schatzman of Des Moines, Washington and step Children Stacey and Steven Gray of Portland, Oregon, five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Reginald Gray on February 22, 2011 a sister Betty Ellen Ganschow and a brother Martin Ganschow.
