Archina “Ina” (Fletcher) Clapham, 94, formerly of Shady Harbor in Cha
rlestown, RI, died peacefully on Wednesday January 10, 2007, at the Clipper Home. She was the beloved wife of the late William Arthur Clapham.
Born in Westerly on August 21, 1912, she was the daughter if the late Andrew and Christina (Robertson) Fletcher.
Mrs. Clapham had been had been a Private child’s nurse for several years before her retirement.
Ina was a charter member of the Dunn’s Corners Community Presbyterian Church. She was an avid gardener and was a member of several local garden clubs. She had a love for music and enjoyed playing the piano, organ and singing.
Ina enjoyed and loved the company of her dogs.
Mrs. Clapham will be sadly missed by her two sons; Andrew J. Clapham and his wife Chant Clapham and James A. Clapham and his wife Michelle Clapham all of Westerly. She also leaves four grandchildren; Andrew John Clapham of Los Angles, CA, Noelle K. Clapham Robinson of South Kingstown, Emily D. Clapham of South Kingstown and Thomas J. Clapham of Westerly and three great grandchildren; Stephen Robinson, Lilly Robinson and Isabella Clapham. She was predeceased by her two brothers; Frank and James Fletcher.
