“Paul” passed away in his home in Bloomfield, CT after a long battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents, Vasilli Baldoumis and Persephone Baldoumis (Barberis), his sisters, Katie, Maria, Mina, and Georgia, and brother John.
He is survived by his son Michael Baldoumis, daughter-in-law Cathy Baldoumis and many nieces and nephews in Greece.
Born in Volos, Greece he joined the Greek Navy after WWII. He immigrated to Canada in 1954 and after taking various jobs across the provinces he worked for 6 years in the Northwest Territories at a uranium mill. He moved to Queens, NY in 1960 where he met his predeceased wife Evelyn and was married in 1963. He worked as a diesel engine mechanic in New York and eventually moved to Danbury, CT in 1978, where he resided for 30 years.
After retiring in 1993, he worked at a grocery store in Brookfield until 2007.
