HARLINGEN-Antonio Espinoza, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, entered into eternal rest on January 5, 2018 at age 81 after a sudden illness at Valley Baptist Medical Center in Harlingen.Antonio was born June 13, 1936, in Comonfort, Guanajuato, Mexico, son of Eulalio Espinoza and Gregoria Anaya.He was a butcher by trade and began his career at Mini Mart Groceries in McAllen and later became manager of King Mart Meat Market in Brownsville, TX. He was most proud of his market skills in the meat market industry. He received various awards for The Cleanest Market and Best Meat Market in Texas. Antonio was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing. He loved watching all the western movies, especially those starring John Wayne. He had a passion for life, singing, dancing and horses. Antonio served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged.He is preceded in death by his wife, Francis Garcia Espinoza, Siblings, Felipe Espinoza, Francisco J. Espinoza, Guadalupe E. Gonzalez, Amelia Sarabia, Socorro E. Montoya and Juanita E. Garcia.Survived by his children, Antonio E. Espinoza and daughter-in-law Gina and Yvette E. Pennington, grandchildren, Marissa Rodriguez, Justin Martinez, Jacob Martinez and Crystal Escamilla, brothers, Eulalio “Lalo” Espinoza and Octavio Espinoza. He is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.
