Antonio C. Arzola, 84, of Bayard passed away on Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family.

“Paco” as he was affectionately known, was born on July 4, 1933, to Estanislado Arzola and Emilia Carrillo in Santa Rita. He was drafted into the Army on July 21, 1953, and served his country honorably until his discharge on June 2, 1955.  He then worked for Kennecott Copper Corporation for 24 years and retired in 1976. His passion was coaching at the senior league level for the Copper Little League which he did for 18 years.  “Paco” was a lifetime fan of the New York Yankees. He dedicated his prayers to the Santo Nino and was a devout Catholic and Crusillista.  “Paco” was a wonderful husband and a great example as a father and grandfather who was adored by all his grandchildren and will greatly be missed.  We would like to send a special “Thank You” to Amber Care, Wanda, and the staff for all they did for our father.

“Paco” is survived by his loving wife, Lydia R. Arzola; sons, Antonio “Paco” Arzola Jr. (Irene), Michael E. Arzola “Eddie” and Antonio S. Arzola III; daughters, Diane A. Silva, Dolores A. Lucero (Carlos), Barbara A. Carbajal (David) and Maria Arzola; brother, Ramon Arzola (Nora); sisters-in-law, Josie Gallardo, Bertha Muniz (Felix) and Carmen Rodriguez (Jesus); 15, grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Estanislado and Emilia Arzola; in-laws, Manuel and Maria Gutierrez; grandson, Carlos Lucero; sisters, Sarah Martinez and Manuela Alvarado; brother, Ruben Arzola; nephews, Paul Rodriguez and Ernie Arzola.
