Antonino “Nino” Gulino

October 24, 1936 – March 15, 2015

Mr. Gulino passed away March 15, 2015 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in Edinburg, 78 years. He was born October 24, 1936 in Italy to the late Giuseppe and Antonina (Tinerello) Gulino, he was one of eight siblings and came to United States in the early `70`s. Nino worked at Romas Family Restaurant ( Both on the East and West side ) for his brother Sal Gulino who was the founder of Romas in 1965. With a partner Frank Cangemi they purchased the Teresa`s in 1974 and transformed it from a German restaurant into Nino’s Family Restaurant and sold it to in 1981 to his niece. A few years later he and his wife opened Josephine`s Family Restaurant, formerly known as the Three Sisters on Henry Streets in Bay City. Then after many years serving people and making many friends in the restaurant business he and his wife moved to Texas to enjoy their retirement. On November 22, 1957 he married his loving wife of fifty seven years the former Josephine Russo and she survives his passing along with three children; Antonella Serafini, Giuseppe Gulino and Alberto F. and Tanya Gulino, four grandchildren; Pierluigi, Valeria, Giosue, Massimo, five sisters and three brother-in-law; Yolanda and Angelo Ricupati of Bay City, Maria Lupo of Bay City, Mimma Cavalieri, Vita and Giovanni Addamo and Lidia and Antonino Mollisi, one sister-in-law; Tanina Gulino of Italy and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by, his son-in-law; Roberto Serafini, two brothers and one sister-in-law; Salvatore and Gina Gulino and Francesco Gulino and two nephews.
