On April 26th, Antionette “Annette” Pezzotti (nee Pitassi) joined her beloved husband of 65 years, Joseph, who passed away on February 10, 2021, into eternal life. Annette was born to Italian immigrants, Romolo and Philomena Pitassi in 1926, and grew up, along with her brothers Dino and Remo, in South Philadelphia, she attended Hallahan Girls High School and graduated in 1944.After graduating high school Annette went to work at a prominent bank in Center City, Philadelphia where she worked as a teller and bookkeeper. She maintained her bookkeeping skills throughout her life and kept meticulous records of pretty much everything. In 1954 she met Joseph Pezzotti at the Chez Vous Dance Club in Upper Darby, PA, they married shortly after meeting in 1955 and eventually settled in Broomall, PA, where they bought a newly constructed house in a beautiful suburban neighborhood. She would talk often about their 1957 new home purchase and how, starting out, they barely had enough money to pay the $75/month mortgage. Annette loved her home and took great pride in keeping it spotless from top to bottom, she remained in her home, completing her daily cleaning routines without assistance until her passing.Annette loved her family dearly, she was blessed with two children (Lisa and Jim) and six grandchildren (Michelle, Jared, Anthony, Jenna, Nicholas and Dominic). In many ways she was a very traditional Italian Mom and Nana, she loved to cook-up homemade Italian pasta and meals for special dinners and holidays, and she always made sure that no one left the table hungry. Taking care of her family was her life’s love, her husband, children and grandchildren were always her top priority. Mom, and Nana was always available to help, it did not matter what kind of help was needed, she was ready…you needed help around the house, or maybe a pair of pants hemmed the evening before an important event, no problem, Annette would come through.Annette was a kind and loving person; she appreciated and loved the simple things in life, her home, her friends and spending time with family. She always had a positive attitude and was there if you needed a smile or words of encouragement. She lived for 95 wonderful years, she will be dearly missed by her family, friends and all that knew her, we were all hoping she was going to be around for another 95 years.Survived by her son James and her daughter Lisa Mackley, her 6 Grandchildren Jared and Jenna Mackley and Michelle (Chris), Anthony, Nicholas, Dominic Pezzotti and their mother Kelly and her brother Remo (Diane).
