Anthony (Tony) Joseph Barberio, 60, of Clarksburg, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. He was born in Clarksburg on November 26, 1950 the son of the late Antonio Barberio and Mary Frammosa Barberio. He is survived by one daughter; Christina Barberio of Clarksburg; two grandchildren; Zachary Curtis Fleming and Thomas Monroe Daniel, Jr.; one sister Teena Pokrzywa and husband John J. of Clarksburg; two nieces; Johnna Shingleton and Tasha Pokrzywa; one nephew; Chad Pokrzywa and five great nieces. Mr. Barberio was a teacher at Robert C. Byrd High School where he also coached golf. He was a member of Clarksburg Country Club and Bell Meadow Country Club where he loved to golf. He was a graduate of Fairmont State College. A member of the Tau Beta Iota Alumni. He operated a web designing company, known as WiseMarketing.com. Mr. Barberio ran for House of Delegates several times, he was a member of the Knights of Colombus and the WV Education Association. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother and he will be deeply missed by his family who loved him.
