Cline, Anthony Wilburn, age 71 of Richmond died Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the Kent Memorial Hospital in Warwick, after a prolonged battle with Parkinson’s Disease and Lymphoma. He was the husband of Susan Neff (Hassinger) Cline.
Born in Lakewood, Ohio, the son of the late Leslie Wadsworth Cline and Ruby Agnus (Edgerton) Cline.
He spent the majority of his career as a sales engineer in the plastics industry, most recently employed by American Kuhne, Norwich, CT and previously at Davis-Standard in Pawcatuck, CT.
He served in both the US Navy and US Army and was a Freemason, passing through the Scottish Rite to the 32nd degree. He was also a member of the Shriners.
He was active in ham radio since the early 60’s where he forged many long-lasting relationships throughout the years. He spent many years sailing the waters of Narragansett Bay on the good ship “Brandywine”. He also taught Coast Guard boating courses.
A member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in the capacity of High Priest.
He is survived by his loving children, son Mark Anthony Cline of Annapolis, MD; daughter Leslie Anne and her husband Scott Myers and beautiful grandson, Trey Austin Myers of Bedford, PA. Also surviving are his beloved step-daughter, Kimberly Dawne Latimer or Cambridge, MA and step-son, Peter Phillip Torres of East Lyme, CT. He was the brother of Carl James Cline of Carlisle, MA and former husband of Mary E. Cline of Richmond.
