Anthony (TONY) Tom was born to Petreni Ikachengi and Aiauo Assauro, on Nama Island, Micronesia on September 28, died on the Mainland March 20, 2022.
Growing up on Mama Island he climbed tall breadfruit trees, fished the Atoll, and was an older brother to Atauo.
Educated on Nama, and later Chuuk High School, he then attended college at Corsican, Texas on the mainland.
Tony and Cher married in 1994. He spent countless hours with Cher’s son Suda, playing basketball and hiking with Suda and his friends,Brian,Kaibab,the Lincoln boys, and all the others.
Annie later joined the family, “My Dad was known for his friendliness and kindness. he would make friends with anyone. He did not judge others and was open with liked to
make people laugh. We all love him and he will always be in our hearts.
Grandaughters Cyrah, Kylani and grandson Malaki could not wait for their cisits from their “GRANDPA”, and youngest grandson Anden loved his Papa endlessly.
Tony loved fishing and hiking. Most of all talking politics, sports and the Bible with our many friends. Toy is survived by his wife of 28 years, CherL. Tom, son Suda (Karrie) Manuel and
grandchildern,Cyrah,Malaki, and Kylani,duahgter Annette, and his grandson Anden Tom, aountless Islanders,as well as his brother AtauoTom and his family.
