MUNCIE – Anthony (Tony) Dobbs, 55, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on
Friday morning April 4, 2014 at I. U.
Hospital with his wife Diana at his bedside. He was born May 10, 1958 in Montgomery,
Alabama to Rev. Sylvester and Thredus (Spradlin) Dobbs. Anthony graduated from Muncie Southside High School and attended Ball State University. He had worked for Pepsi Cola and Ball State University. Anthony also worked in management for Meijer and McDonald’s. Anthony was known for his gourmet cheese cake and cooking for others.
Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Diana L. (Smith) Dobbs,
a daughter Kacie A. Dobbs, Muncie; his mother Thredus Dobbs; Muncie; one brother
Pastor Terry Dobbs (wife-Julie), Yorktown, father-in-law Elzie Smith (wife-Nancy), Greenwood, Indiana; several nieces and nephews, one great niece and one great nephew,
several cousins; two sisters-in-law and their husbands and several aunts and uncles.
Anthony was preceded in death by his father Rev. Sylvester Dobbs, his mother-in-law Deloris Gregory and father-in-law James Gregory, maternal grandparents Wilburn and Christine Spradlin and paternal grandparents Albert and Mertie Dobbs.
