Winsted: Anthony Paul Barber, Sr., 94, of Holabird Avenue, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009, at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Doris (Burgess) Barber. Born in Winsted, November 14, 1914, he was a son of the late John and Navina Maria (Volpe) Barber and had lived in Winsted all of his life. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a painter and paper hanger. He was an Arrmy Veteran of WW II and member of the VFW Post #296. Anthony was a talented man who loved to play his guitar and harmonica and was an avid fisherman.
