Anthony Curtis Walker Sr., 59, of San Marcos, California, passed away on November 24, 2013 peacefully in his sleep.

Anthony was born on August 22, 1954 in Danville, Illinois to Curtis and Mariann (Pettiford) Walker. From an early age, Anthony exhibited a strong commitment to personal development and hard work, working as a paper boy, clean-up boy and baker beginning at age thirteen. Several years later, he found his true passion in engineering – pursing higher education first in time-study engineering, then later in aerospace engineering.

Anthony held many prominent roles throughout his thirty-five plus year career in engineering. He began his career at Bohn Aluminum and Brass Company where he developed a love of engines and transportation. After leaving Bohn, he joined several other major aerospace manufacturer and defense companies including McDonnell Douglas and Rohr (Goodrich Aerostructures Group).

Anthony loved travel (especially Paris and Toulouse, France), reading and golf.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Brian Walker.

Anthony Curtis Walker Sr. is survived by five children, Brice Walker, Celeste Garcia, Alexandria Walker, Anthony Walker Jr., and Carson Walker; two siblings, Cindy Count and Christopher Walker; a special cousin, Debbie Grant; and a dear friend Davey Woodard.

Anthony is deeply loved and will by missed by family, friends and colleagues. It is hoped that his light will continue to shine in all the lives he has touched.
