NEW HARTFORD – Anthony August Casciani, Jr., 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 8, 2022 after a brief illness. He was the devoted husband of the late Joan Elizabeth (Delaney) Casciani who passed away in 2008. Born August 2, 1936 in Winsted; the son of the late Anthony A. Casciani, Sr., and Anna Marion (Hughes) Casciani. Tony proudly served in the US Air Force from 1956 to 1959. He was hardworking as a talented machinist for Ensign Bickford where he retired after many years of service. He also served his community as a New Hartford Volunteer Fireman for many years and retired as an Honorary member. Tony was an avid fisherman practically growing up in the Farmington River as well as a skilled hunter. He loved sports including softball, baseball and golf. He also was the UCONN Women’s Basketball’s biggest fan. He leaves a son, Anthony A. Casciani, III of New Hartford; two daughters, Alison J. Williams of Norfolk and Ann M. Roarke and companion Rob Daalhuyzen of Canaan; two half brothers, Ronnie Casciani and wife Kristi of Goshen and Bobby Casciani and wife Brenda of NC; five grandchildren, Ryan A. Williams, Shane A. Williams, Samuel B. Williams, Cory A. Casciani and Kayle L. Casciani; special aunt, Katie Dileo of New Hartford; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
