Anselmo “Sambo” Jaramillo, 64, of Ft. Lupton, passed away on September 11, 2012 at his home. He was born January 15, 1948 in Dilia, NM to Agapito Jaramillo and Maria Baros. He attended schools in Ft. Lupton and after graduating, joined the US Army and served during the Vietnam War.

Sam worked as a sheet metal worker for American Stainless in Englewood for 15 years and was a member of the Brighton Eagles Lodge #3365. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed playing pool, golf and bowling. Sam was a loving father and grandfather who will be missed.

He is survived by his children, Arcinia (Rudy) Lujan of Greeley, Trinidad Nunez, Anaconnie Jaramillo and Valencia (Andrew) Lucio, all of Ft. Lupton; siblings, Harold Jaramillo and Vickie Diaz of Ft. Lupton, Ray Jaramillo of Brighton, Lawrence Jaramillo of Las Vegas, NV, Barbara Jaramillo-Ramirez of Boulder, Pauline Jaramillo of Brighton and Christine Jaramillo of Las Vegas, NV and Richard Jaramillo of Colorado Springs; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
