Mrs. Annie L. Dingler. 90, of Newnan, died on Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at her residence at Savannah Court where she had been living since last May. She had been in declining health for the last three weeks.
Mrs. Dingler was born on January 22, 1924, in Borden Springs, AL. Her parents were Eddy Franklin Truett and Mary Magdalene Jones Truett. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Georgia and Emily, and a brother, James Ivey who died as an infant. Mrs. Dingler was a resident of the Arnco community for most of her life. She came to live at Arnco following her marriage to Woodruff “Woodie” Dingler on May 20, 1940, at the age of 16. They had just celebrated 65 years together when he died on July 13, 2005. She was a homemaker her entire life except for a brief period of employment during World War II when she worked at Arnco Mill while her husband fought in Europe. Mrs. Dingler was preceded in death by her husband and her oldest daughter, Judy Nelms, who died on August 5, 2013.
She is survived by daughters, Charlotte (Travis) Teal and Pam Dingler of Snellville; son-in-law, Clifford Nelms; grandsons, Jeff Nelms, Michael (Renee) Nelms, Brian (Karen Warder) Teal; great-granddaughters, Shelbi Nelms, Madison Nelms, and McKenna Nelms, all of Newnan; nephew, Eddie (Libby) Weldon of Eatonton, GA and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
