Annie Bell Smith, 88, passed away Monday morning, September 10, 2012, at the AlexandriaCareCenter in Alexandria. She was born in Grays, Kentucky, June 19, 1924, the daughter of Walter and Bessie Disney Blanton, and attended school in WashingtonCounty.
She lived in Salem, IN from about 1940 until 1980, where she was employed at B. F. Goodrich until her retirement in 1979. She then moved to the Muncie area and has lived her ever since.

Surviving are her son, Robert Lee Smith, (wife, Suzanne), Salem; her four brothers, John Blanton, (wife, Fern), Salem, Calvin Blanton, (wife, Denise), Gaston, Richard Blanton, (wife, Pat), Gaston, and Cecil Blanton, Gaston; her sister, Barbara Crabtree, Muncie; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willie Smith, who died in 1989; her daughter, Irene K. Wilkerson; two brothers, James and Roy Blanton; and two great great grandchildren.
