Annemarie Passek Groves, age 91, of Columbia, MD died on July 9, 2024, at 3:30am at her residence at Arbor Terrace Sudley Manor in Manassas, VA. She was born on February 21, 1933 in Hellertown, PA to the late George C. Passek and Wilhelmina (Minnie) Passek. When she was five, her family moved back to Germany, where they lived and she spent her youth in the years of World War II, until returning to the United States in 1950. She attended University of Maryland College, and joined the AlphaDeltaPi sorority. There, she met Luanne, who later introduced her to her future husband, Bob Groves. She and Bob fell in love and married in 1958 and happily raised their four children in Silver Spring, MD and then Columbia, MD. Annemarie was an amazing homemaker, always making sure her husband and kids were well taken care of, with good meals, a clean and orderly home, and lots of love.
