Annie was born in South Bend, Indiana to Dr. Wolfgang Porod and Jeannine Ann (Washluske) Porod. Annie was a kind, loving daughter and sister to her older brother, Christian (Kelly) Porod, of Louisville, Kentucky and two younger sisters, Stephanie Porod, and Heidi Porod, of Mishawaka, Indiana. Annie was a loving mother to her three children, Heather, Benjamin, and Amelia. Annie loved her children more than anything, and she will be sadly missed. She also loved her grandparents, Wayne and Jeanette Washluske, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, who survive. She is survived by her parents, Wolfgang Porod of Granger, Indiana and Jeannine Porod of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, as well as her brother and sisters, aunts, Karyn (Art) Schuck, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana and Leslie (Eliazar) Fonseca, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, Ursula (Steve) Zelditch, and uncle Robert (Barbara) Porod, Graz, Austria, as well as several cousins, and countless friends. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Dr. Gunther Porod and Dr. Ingeborg Porod from Graz, Austria.
Annie was a beautiful person, inside and out, and had a sassy sense of humor. She was extremely intelligent, having made the Dean’s List every semester at Indiana University, where she studied Chemistry. She loved her children and her family. She left us unexpectedly on Wednesday afternoon. Our loss of her young life is heart-wrenching, but we will continue to hold our memories and love of her forever. Every phone call ended with “I love you.” Hug your children and feel blessed.
