Anne Nemeth Hoge, 97, of Athens, GA, formerly of South Bend, IN, died Thursday, April 19, 2007 at Athens Heritage Nursing Home in Athens, GA.

Survivors include her children: Jeanne M. Baker of Greenville, FL, Marilyn A. (Fred T.) Dapkus of Athens, GA, Thomas A. (Patricia) Nemeth of Havre, MT: eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, half sisters: Julie Stine of Newport Beach, CA, Clare Asher of Mishawaka, IN.

Born in South Bend, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Helen Nemeth Borcsics Vercseg, step daughter to Veronica Vercseg and daughter to the late Michael Vercseg. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alex F. Nemeth; second husband, Legare W. Hoge, Sr.; daughter, Kathleen M. Nemeth; son, Michael J. Nemeth; sister, Elizabeth R. Mnichowski; half sisters: Zella V. Bellman, Helen V. Orzykowski, Rose B. Purczycki, Julia B. Pinter: half brother, Frank Borcsics, and two grandchildren.

She had been employed at the South Bend Tribune as head librarian from 1959 until 1974. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Parish in South Bend, and a member of the Rosary-Altar Society and the Circle of Mercy.
