MERIDEN – Anne Watts, 58, beloved sister, departed this life on February 27, 2018, at the Meriden Center.
Anne was born in Meriden on February 24, 1960, to the late Frank and Mary Watts.
Anne attended St. Rose elementary school and excelled in all her classes. She enjoyed learning and engaging in discussions with teachers and classmates. She was well loved by students and teachers alike and developed many close friendships there. Because of her dynamic, outgoing personality, she never missed a new adventure. At Maloney High School she again did well with all her courses and maintained her place on the honor roll throughout her attendance there. She joined many clubs and activities and developed close relationships with the members of the Props and Paints club. She learned to ski and quickly became accomplished in the sport and would attend ski trips with family and friends whenever she had the opportunity. At Central Ct. State University, she stayed true to her love of sharing knowledge and ideas with others and naturally obtained a degree in education. After college, she moved to Boston and taught for the Headstart program there. The students and families appreciated Anne’s efforts to make the school a happy, successful place.
