Anne H. Haley, age 88, passed away peacefully at her residence in Scottsdale on Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Born to her parents, the late Richard and Grace Hare, on August 12, 1926 in Florida, Anne moved to Arizona at the age of 2. She was a class of 1944 graduate of Phoenix’s North High School, and attended Stanford University. A gifted artist, her breathtaking oil paintings, mostly depicting the people and landscapes of the Southwest, are distributed throughout the homes of her children. A gentle and kind woman, she lived by, and taught her children to live by, The Golden Rule. Predeceased by her husband, Charles Haley, and her stepson, Matthew Haley, she will be sorely missed by her Children: Barry (Elizabeth) Miller, Scott (Lori) Miller, Luanne Barrett, Melanie (Greg) Boulanger, and Megan (Greg) Haley. She was the proud Grandmother of Haillie Hornburg, Christopher Miller, Marni Miller, Casey Miller, Greg Boulanger, Jr., Kelly Barrett, Ashley Grace Bourjos, Nick Boulanger, Rebecca Miller, Kevin Miller, Jackson Miller, Harrison Carter and Carson Carter. Anne was also much loved by her three great grandchildren, Andrew Hornburg, Matthew Hornburg, and Grace Hornburg. Anne was an accomplished traveler to countless cities and countries around the globe. She and her husband Charles, with five of their six children lived briefly in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. After Pakistan, she bravely traveled throughout Europe in a camper with her husband and those five children for several months! Anne loved tennis, golf, boating and picnics in the desert. She was an extremely beautiful woman, who excelled at modeling and acting. She was a kick up your heels kind of Arizona gal, who was equally at ease in a leadership position in The Junior League of Phoenix, western dancing on Saturday nights near her cabin in Christopher Creek, AZ, or demonstrating to her children how to stand on their heads and do cartwheels.
