Anne G. (Marsh) Jones, age 94, of W. Boyd Street, Grafton, passed away Friday, January 13, 2011, at Grafton City Hospital. She was born July 29, 1917, in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of the late Flodden B. Marsh and Ethel Katherine (Waller) Marsh Miller. Her husband, Findley W. Jones, preceded her in death, May 1, 1990.
Anne was a Baptist by faith, but had attended the New Testament Fellowship Church in Fetterman. She was a member of the American Legion Taylor County Post #12 Ladies Auxiliary, and the VFW Memorial City Post #3081 Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid collector of salt & pepper shakers, and enjoyed cooking and was an excellent cook.
Surviving are: one daughter, Joyce A. Moyer and husband Bernard, of Grafton; five grandchildren, David B. Shaw and wife Vicky, of Elkhart, IN, Diana K. Armstrong and husband Mike, of Philippi, WV, Kelly A. Lockhart , who was her caretaker, and companion David O’Brien, of Philippi, WV, Robert B. Jones, of VA, and Kimberly Twyman and husband Jim, of Grafton; twelve great grandchildren, Chelsea Shaw Witmer and husband Kyle, Jordan Shaw, Desirea Pinnell, Jason Pinnell, Timber Armstrong, Tyler Armstrong, Skylar Lockhart, Katara Lockhart, Sara Jones, Zach Jones, Mallory Twyman, and Jessie Twyman; four great great grandchildren, Addison Witmer, Brayden Minard, Bryleigh Spring, and Paislee Spring; one brother, Jack B. Marsh and wife Beatrice, of Grafton; many nieces and nephews; a very special friend and neighbor, Polly Kitzmiller, of Grafton, and her dog Gracie Anne.
In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by: three sons, Donald Lee Jones, Robert Burl Jones, and Gary Lynn Jones; one great granddaughter, Kelsea B. Armstrong; two brothers, Flodden Marsh, Jr., and William L. Marsh; and one sister, Ruth Smallwood.
