With tremendous joy for her soul and sorrow for our world, we announce the death of Cubby LaHood, wife, mother, and dear friend. Cubby was vivacious, energetic and active her entire life. An accomplished swimmer and equestrian, she loved the active life and used that same energy to serve people in many stages and walks of life. She founded St. Joseph’s House, a Day Care and Respite Care Home for children with disabilities, which she operated with her husband for over 30 years. She also was Co-Foundress of Isaiah’s Promise, a ministry that supported families who received a Poor Pre-Natal Diagnosis. This was born out of her experience with her son Francis, who was diagnosed in utero with Poly Cystic Kidney Disease. Urged to abort Francis, Cubby resisted and that resistance led her to help scores of couples over the years who found themselves in a similar situation. As any who met Cubby can attest, she lived a life full of love, determined to share her energy and joy with all those she encountered.

Annalise “Cubby” La Hood died at home with her family on Monday, September 21, 2015 of Silver Spring, MD. Beloved wife of Dan La Hood; mother of Joe La Hood, Mary Frances La Hood, Johnny La Hood and the late infant Francis La Hood.
