Annabelle White, of Bridgeport passed peacefully at Meadowview Manor, on May 21, 2013 in her 92nd year after a brief illness. She was born on April 6, 1921 in Doddridge County; daughter of the late A.W. Adams and Margaret Elizabeth Snider Adams Rice. She is survived by a sister, Mary Margaret Hood of Bridgeport; 5 nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Blount and husband Mario and daughter Megan Blount; David L. Hood and wife Sue and his children Tanya Patterson and Travis Hood; Linda A. Hawkins and son Matthew Hawkins; Jeff George and wife Carrie and children Kevin George and Jason George; Jack George and wife Joyce and children Jeffrey George, John George and Chris George; and brother-in-law, James E. Hawkins of Westerville, OH. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Louis E. “Pete” White in 1988; one sister, Mabel I Hawkins; one nephew, James E “Buddy” Hawkins; great nephew, David Andrew Hood; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Ralph and Laura George. Annabelle graduated from WI High School in 1938 and later graduated from the WV Business College. She enjoyed playing bridge, doing jig saw puzzles and collecting antique glassware.
