Anna Maria Manzanares, 55, of Brighton, passed away November 12, 2012 at her home. She was born April 23, 1957 in Denver, CO to Richard and Sadie (Mestas) Abeyta. She attended Denver West High School and graduated in 1975. She later married Jose Manzanares on February 11, 1978 in Denver.

Anna spent the majority of her life in Denver but lived in Brighton for the past eight years. She worked for the Keebler Company as a machine operator for 24 years and recently as a dental assistant for the last seven years.

She loved to crochet, especially baby items for her family. She enjoyed sewing; she made all the curtains in her home and she enjoyed baking from scratch. Anna loved folkloric dancing and Elvis was her favorite musician. Most of all, Anna loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews who she loved as if they were her own. She was a loving mother, wife, sister and aunt and she will be greatly missed.

Anna is survived by her husband, Jose, of Brighton; parents, Richard and Sadie Abeyta of Westminster; son, Jesus Manzanares, Jr. of Denver; sisters, Debra E. (Jesus) Manzanares and Francie Angel, both of Denver and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by one sister, Deborah.
