Anna Ray. Loving wife. Caring mother. Kind, sassy, and sincere friend to all. Our beautiful Anna passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022 with her family by her side. She was welcomed into Heaven with open arms from many loved ones who had passed before her. Anna was born in Ogden, Utah on April 20, 1966 and grew up as an energetic member of a family of eight. She graduated as part of the Roy High School Class of 1984. From early age, Anna was driven to succeed in both her personal and professional lives. Anna found enduring personal success early as she met the love of her life, Brent Ray, at a local softball game. It was not long before they married on August 29, 1987.
During that time, while always on the move, Anna managed not only the Ray home but also managed to earn a degree in Criminal Justice. Anna didn’t stop with that professional accomplishment as she worked seemingly every hour to fulfill her never ending zest to learn and to experience new things. She always included her cherished family and many friends in her endeavors, something that has left all of us in a much better place than before Anna entered our lives. An idle mind was one thing she never experienced. If she could get it, Anna did….and we were all better for her efforts. Anna was deeply proud of the lifelong friendships she forged…she never knew an enemy. Everyone wanted to call Anna a friend…and Anna wanted that, too.
Anna had a particular love and curiosity for different cultures. She most enjoyed traveling with her family. Family time was the most cherished of times for her and she went well beyond any call of motherly duty to insure every member of her family was happy. Her caring instincts took her well beyond her own loving family as Anna’s supportive light often shined on others through the many hours of charity work she selflessly performed. Her causes were many but beyond just helping other people in need, she also had a very special place in her huge heart for animals. To know Anna was to know someone who completely put others at ease with her sincere personality and warm sense of humor. It would take only a few minutes after meeting Anna for one to quickly realize that her youthful appearance and savvy sense of style matched her equally young and vibrant personality. It would probably take a few more minutes for one to notice her extensive clothing/shoe collection that according to local legend (Brent) was safely hidden in three full closets. It seemed that there was always a little space, in the Ray driveway, and in Anna’s trendy heart, for the Amazon truck.
