Anna M. DeFraine passed away February 10, 2013, with her loving family by her side. She fought a long and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born on June 25, 1947, daughter of Mary (Piatowski) and John Matt. She was a graduate of West Leyden Central School, class of 1965. She was formerly employed at General Electric and Camden Wire. Anna married the love of her life, Edward DeFraine on July 5, 1969.
Surviving besides her loving husband, Edward, are a daughter and son-in-law, Michelle & William Baldygo of Beavercreek, OH, a son and daughter-in-law, Brian & Tiffany DeFraine of Taberg, her loving and adoring grandchildren Matthew, Christopher and Joshua Baldygo of Beavercreek, OH, and Rebecca & Rachael DeFraine of Taberg.
Also surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law Stanley & Karen Matt, Lee Center, Robert & Nancy Matt, Rome, Richard & Ann Matt, Remsen, James & Emma Matt, Ava, Earl & Marlene Matt, Ava, John & Susan Matt, Cooperstown, several special nieces, nephews and cousins.
Anna was predeceased by two brothers Edward Matt, Lee Center, Lawrence Matt, Ava and two sisters-in-law Marion Matt, Rome, and Helen Matt, Lee Center.
Anna loved animals and cherished her two pet poodles Gigi and Gidget.
She was a life-long parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church, Lee Center. Her faith in God, her husband, children and grandchildren were her most prized possessions. She had a heart of gold and was loved by many.
