Muncie-Anna L. Ratley, 61, went to be with her Lord early Thursday morning, February 6, 2014, at her residence following a sudden illness. She was born on June 4, 1952, in Muncie, the daughter of Roy and Mary (Clemons) Ratley.
Anna had attended Muncie Central High School. She had worked for the Wertz Novelty Company for approximately 25 years and also had run a child care center for approximately 10 years in her home.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Bowden, Muncie: two daughters, Dustine Faye Nickerson (husband-Tad), Virginia Beach, Virginia and Kandice Spring Inskeep (husband-Troy), Muncie; five grandchildren, Cortland Simsic (wife-Heather), Greenwood, Christopher (Bo) Sargent, Muncie, Kody Dixon,
Baumholder, Germany, Storm Nickerson and Surf Nickerson, both of Virginia Beach, Virginia; one sister, Margie Phillips, Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, Willard Thurman; one sister, Patty Shields; two brothers, Richard and Michael Williams; one brother-in-law, Louie Phillips.
