Anna Garwood (nee: Giandomenico) of Burlington passed away in Samaritan Inpatient at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly at the age of 90. On August 24, 1922 a little girl was born, a little girl that like so many of you, had to grow up quick. So at about age nine she got voluntarily pulled out of school and worked at several factories in South Philadelphia during the days of the depression, then for Sears and Roebuck.

Later on in life she found the love of her life Samuel R. Garwood and loved him till the day he died, had two children Robert and Janice. As of late as her body was slowing down, she mentioned she wished she could do more with her hands, but like so many Mothers, she didn’t realize how much she does with her heart. Though there would be so much more to say, some people’s lives can be summed up in one sentence.

“Preach the gospel at all times, when necessary use words.” St. Francis of Assisi. Even though after five minutes she could make you feel like family, she always believed in family first. So she did say to tell each and every one of you, she loves you and will get to see you later…!
