Bozrah – Anna C. Pepin of Bozrah, passed away on August 10, 2022, after a short illness.
Anna graduated from Norwich Free Academy in 1950, after studying in the Commercial program. She married Roland V. Pepin on June 6, 1953. They shared a loving friendship and devotion to each other for 58 years; they both loved dancing and just doing things together. The most important things to her were her family, especially her 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
Anna’s first job was as a secretary for Attorney Safinowitz followed by the Groton Submarine Base. She retired from the State of Connecticut Vocational Rehabilitation Office in Norwich.
Anna was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Cathedral and a member of the NFA class of 1950 Reunion Committees, Italian Women’s Social Club, CSEA #403, Backus Hospital Auxiliary and Fireside Group. She was also an avid fan of UCONN Women’s Basketball.
Anna was predeceased by her parents, Maria and Luciano Maruzo, her brothers Joseph, Charles and Frankie Maruzo, her husband of 58 years, Roland V. Pepin, of Norwich, CT, her son Jeffrey D. Pepin of North Franklin, CT and her daughter Michele E. Ciriello of Norwich, CT. Anna is survived by her daughter Judith M. Pepin, of Bozrah and her 3 much loved grandchildren, Joey, Nicholas, and Anna Ciriello. She is also survived by her brother William Maruzo of Norwich.
