Mrs. Leavens began her heavenly journey on Sunday March 23, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 100 years with her loving family at her side to join her family in eternal life. The daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Pospisil) Duley was born April 13, 1913 in Pinconning, Michigan and resided in Bay City most of her life. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Good Fellows, served as the former treasurer for the A.B.W.A. and was the Manager of the former Sarrett’s ready to wear dress shop in Bay City.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law; Gloria and Royce Kriewall, Arlene and Peter Frick and Joanne Genaw, one son and one daughter-in-law; Peter James and Susan Leavens, nine grandchildren; Earl and Karla Kriewall, Tami Reid, Tracey and Steve Bunde, Paul and Nichole Kriewall, Mark and Cindy Frick, Brad and Heidi Stout, Lori Maas, Shannon and Mark Schmidt and Joel and Michelle Leavens, twenty great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, two sisters and one brother-in-law; Therese and Richard Bailey and Agnes LaLonde and her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; Earl E. Leavens on December 28, 1985.
